Meet the team
Steven Kassab
CEO & Co-founder
After various positions at Deloitte and BNP Paribas in London, Steven founded Tevali Partners in 2009, building a team convinced that renewable energy assets would become an attractive underlying for professional investors. In 2019, he founded Tevalia Capital (now Altevera), which he leads as CEO. He established the partnership with Volta Group, demonstrating his ability to identify the right partners to create value and enter new markets, such as repowering. Steven has been involved in over 50 transactions of all sizes, advising clients on M&A, structured finance, fundraising and strategic partnerships. Steven graduated from EDHEC Business School.
Michael Tobelem
BOARD MEMBER AND CO-FOUNDER
After several positions at Morgan Stanley, Société Générale and Cantor Fitzgerald, Michael co-founded Tevali Partners in 2009, driven by the conviction that the renewable energy sector would become increasingly relevant. There, he built extensive expertise in M&A, structured finance and fundraising operations of all sizes. In 2019, he co-founded Tevalia Capital (now Altevera) with Steven and managed its team and operations for six years. He now sits on the board, overseeing the firm’s strategic direction. Michael graduated from Université Paris X, and holds a Msc in Project Finance from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
Julien Bonito
Investment Director
Julien Bonito brings over ten years of experience across the full renewable energy investment lifecycle. Before joining Altevera, he co-founded and scaled a pan-European renewables developer, later acquired by Orrön Energy. Earlier, at Macquarie Capital’s Green Investment Group, he executed equity investments across Europe and the US, from early-stage development to operating assets. Julien holds an engineering degree from ESTP and an MSc in Finance from ESCP.
Marcei Setti
Investment Associate
Marcei has over seven years of experience working in energy generation, energy efficiency and storage, both for advisories and IPPs. He brings deep expertise in solar, wind and BESS assets at all development stages in several European and Latin American countries. He has a master’s in finance from HEC Paris and an engineering degree from Mines ParisTech.
Marie-Céline Maréchal
Investment analyst
Marie-Céline holds a Master in Management from ESSEC Business School and an MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College London. She joined Tevalia Capital in 2025, after working as a consultant at the United Nations Environment Programme and an infrastructure investment analyst at SWEN Capital Partners. She supported Tevalia’s fundraise and its transition to Altevera, as well as the acquisition of a 60MW portfolio from RWE.
Eliott Foulon
Investment analyst
Eliott holds an engineering degree from ESTP, with a dual degree from the University of Melbourne, and an Advanced Master in Infrastructure Project Finance from École des Ponts ParisTech. He joined Altevera in 2026, after working as a project manager at VINCI Energies and as an infrastructure private equity analyst at Suma Capital.
Chloé Darmon
Office manager
Chloé has been supporting the Altevera team since November 2024 as HR & Office Manager. With over ten years of experience in HR, workplace and office management, she previously held similar roles at Squadeasy, METRON and Future Techno Bio. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management from Intec.
